The overall objective of the project is to support the democratization process in northern Kosovo by sharing the experiences of the Slovak civil society in participatory democracy. Thanks to the €35,000 grant awarded by the Slovak Balkan Public Policy Fund we are able to increase the involvement of young people in public policy and good governance. Prior to the implementation of small community projects, the project applicant will prepare training sessions for the grantees in order to introduce them to effective forms of civic participation that benefit society. Throughout the project implementation grantees will be able to consult with Slovak mentorswho will share the Slovak experience of building an active civil society. In order to ensure a better understanding of the situation study visits to Slovakia will be conducted. All implemented projects will be presented together with other project ideas that will attract interest from the donor community in order to ensure the financial sustainability of small scale projects.
