Roadmap for Increasing Transparency in the Fight Against Corruption

A meeting addressing transparency and the fight against corruption took place in Štrpce/Shtërpcë Organized by the NGO Aktiv, a round table entitled “Roadmap for Increasing Transparency in the Fight Against Corruption” was held in Štrpce/Shtërpcë on Monday, April 22. The gathering was attended by representatives of civil society, as well as the director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Yll Buleshkaj.

During the meeting, participants shared their experiences, emphasizing the importance of greater transparency and the continuation of the joint fight against corruption in municipalities with a Serbian majority.

Director Yll Buleshkaj presented the work of the Agency and its activities, noting that no cases of corruption have been reported in Štrpce/Shtërpcë so far.

The ABER application, presented at the gathering, serves as a digital tool for citizens to report cases of corruption, thereby facilitating the reporting process and contributing to greater transparency.

NGO Aktiv reaffirms its commitment to promoting and strengthening transparency in the fight against corruption in municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo, in collaboration with relevant institutions and the civil sector.

This event is organized within the framework of the project “Improving Transparency and the Rule of Law in Communities with a Serb-Majority Population,” implemented by NGO Aktiv and the Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC), with the cooperation and support of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, and financially supported by the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Bureau (INL).
