We are pleased to announce that on the 14th of June 2023, the non-governmental organization Aktiv, in partnership with the NGO ACDC, conducted a comprehensive report presentation on the topic of “Community Service Sentencing” as a part of the project “Further Support to Access to Justice and Human Rights in the Mitrovica Region”supported by UNMIK.
The report presentation was a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to advocate for fair and effective criminal justice practices. The event brought together experts, policymakers, international community representatives and members of the community, who contributed to a fruitful and insightful discussions as well as knowledge sharing.
Throughout the presentation, the report highlighted the key findings and recommendations derived from extensive research and analysis conducted by our dedicated teams. The study examined various aspects of community service sentencing, including its effectiveness, promoting rehabilitation, and fostering community reintegration.
Moreover, the report highlighted successful case studies and real-life examples that demonstrated the transformative power of community service sentencing. These stories reinforced the notion that by providing individuals with opportunities to give back to their communities, we can help them rebuild their lives, instill a sense of responsibility, and encourage positive behavioral change.

Their valuable insights and perspectives enriched our understanding of community service sentencing and its potential to create safer and more inclusive societies.
