SOCIALIZED AND ENGAGED YOUNG PEOPLE FOR A MORE ACTIVE COMMUNITY

A Concert was held on February 10 in the village of Osojane, marked the project’s kick-off, which is being implemented by NGO Aktiv in the Peć/Peja region. The first in a series of events was     attended by sixty young people from Osojane, Banja, Crkolez and Gorazdevac, who participated at a concert of the band “Isidora Boba Toma Vojkan” from North Mitrovica.

“If the young people are active, the community is also active”, was the main message from this event. This concert and socializing young people in this area has been one of many activities within the project of opening a Resource hub for local communities and youth in Goraždevac.

Organizing various activities, the goal is to address challenge that the Serbian community faces in this region, such as problems with documents or exercising the right to personal property.

The activity plan also includes organizing competitions on how young people are informed, chess tournaments, excursions, the Berim ferrata and many other interesting events. Through such cultural and recreational activities, we strive to get young people out of the zone of passivity that is very common in these areas.
