How can we recognize fake news? How can we protect ourselves from manipulation and propaganda? In an interactive setting with young people, civil activists, and educators, we explored the challenges of the modern media landscape and the digital age.
Through interactive exercises, participants developed critical thinking skills, analyzed content, and learned how to distinguish reliable sources from manipulative narratives. A special focus was placed on social media algorithms and their role in spreading disinformation, as well as techniques for verifying sources. Engaging discussions allowed participants to exchange experiences, analyze examples, and develop strategies to combat fake news.
Once again, we confirmed – education is key! We continue to strengthen media literacy because only well-informed citizens can make the right decisions.
