Master’s Students Visited NGO Aktiv in North MitrovicaA group of around 100 students and 6 professors from Vienna Master of Applied Arts In Human Rights and the European in Human Rights and Democratization from Venice visited the NGO Aktiv on January 22, 2025.
Representatives of NGO Aktiv introduced the students to the main goals and activities of the organization, particularly emphasizing the importance of civic initiatives, interethnic cooperation, and strengthening the local community. During an interactive discussion, the focus was placed on the position of Kosovo Serbs and interethnic relations, which opened the floor to numerous questions and a lively exchange of views.
The students had the opportunity to tour NGO Aktiv’s facilities, as well as the social hub of the Center for Civic Energy. A discussion on current social and political issues in Kosovo was organized there, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities arising from the complex social reality.
This meeting served as an important platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and diverse perspectives. Through open dialogue, the students gained a deeper insight into the realities of life in Kosovo, while NGO Aktiv representatives highlighted the crucial role of civil society in building bridges between communities.
Visits like this underscore the importance of connecting young people, the academic community, and civil society organizations, offering inspiration for new ideas and initiatives aimed at enhancing social connectedness and cooperation.
