NGO Aktiv and AMPEK are organizing a “Breakfast with Journalists” on the topic of the Law on Foreigners and media reporting. The event will take place tomorrow (April 23) at 11:00 in Pristina.

The aim of this meeting is to foster discussion in an informal and open setting on how the media report on the implementation of the Law on Foreigners, as well as the challenges journalists face when covering this topic. Particular attention will be given to access to information, differing interpretations of the law, and engagement with relevant institutions.

During the discussion, dominant media narratives in Albanian and Serbian will be examined, with a specific focus on how Serbian-language media report on issues primarily concerning the Albanian community—and vice versa.
In the second part of the event, a joint discussion is planned on ways to improve the quality and accuracy of reporting, as well as on the role of media in fostering constructive social dialogue.

Journalists and editors from Albanian and Serbian language media will attend the event.

The event is organized by NGO Aktiv and Association of Independent Electronic Media of Kosovo, with the support of National Endowment for Democracy.
