EVENT DETAILS

The NGO Aktiv is organizing a conference on the occasion of the presentation of the report “Unmasking Security Challenges Within the Kosovo Serb Community”, which will be held on November 29, at the Sirius Hotel in Pristina, from 11:00 am.

The report, which is realized as part of the project “Strengthening Kosovo Serb CSOs participation at central-level decision-making processes in Kosovo”, brings the views of citizens as well as an overview of the mechanisms that, in their focus of action, should enable non-majority communities to express their opinions and influence the decision-making processes.

We will present an assessment of the effectiveness of the protective mechanisms of non-majority communities, research on the rights, interests and level of political participation of Kosovo Serbs living south of the Ibar, with a special emphasis on security issues in areas with a majority Serbian population.

We expect an interactive and dynamic discussion that will encourage the exchange of ideas, opinions and proposals.

This activity is supported by the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF) program “EJA Kosovo”, which is co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
