Position Summary:  

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Researcher to join our team in Kosovo. This position offers an opportunity for early-career professionals or recent graduates interested in research, policy and advocacy within the context of social and political developments in Kosovo and the region.

The selected candidate will play an active role in supporting ongoing research and analysis in key thematic areas, including human rights, minority rights and inclusion, democratization and public policy development. Under the guidance of senior team members, the Researcher will be involved in various stages of the research process – from concept development and desk research to data collection through interviews, surveys, and field visits.

In addition to research tasks, the candidate will contribute to the drafting and editing of policy briefs, analytical reports and advocacy materials that inform public discourse and support evidence-based engagement with institutions and stakeholders. The role also includes attending and supporting meetings, roundtables and public events, where research findings are shared and discussed with partners and decision-makers.

This is a role that requires strong analytical thinking, written communication skills, and the ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. It is ideal for someone looking to deepen their understanding of governance, rights-based policy, and civic engagement, while gaining hands-on experience in research and advocacy work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct desk and field research related to: Social and political developments in Kosovo; Human rights and non-majority community rights; Reconciliation processes and interethnic dialogue; Role of civil society in shaping public policy; Civic participation and trust-building in multi-ethnic settings Monitoring rule of law and democratic standards; Influence of international actors on local political processes

  • Support data collection, analysis, and documentation
  • Assist in preparing research reports, policy briefs, and presentations
  • Attend and contribute to meetings, workshops, and public events
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all research materials

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, sociology, law, international relations, or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset)
  • Strong research and analytical skills (quantitative and/or qualitative)
  • Excellent knowledge of Serbian and English; Albanian is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Previous research experience or an internship in a related field is a plus
