At the Civic Energy Center (CEC) in North Mitrovica, hosted by NGO Aktiv, a roundtable discussion was held on October 20, dedicated to presenting the DigiPath platform, developed within the project of the same name implemented by NGO Aktiv and Youth Alliance, with the support of the Erasmus+ program.
The DigiPath platform aims to provide young people with information about study opportunities, student exchanges, volunteering, and employment both in the region and abroad. The project connects youth from across the Western Balkans, encourages cooperation and experience sharing, and contributes to a better understanding of the potential that digital tools and regional initiatives offer in education and employment.
The project was presented by Marija Stanojević, project coordinator at NGO Aktiv, who emphasized that DigiPath is designed to facilitate young people’s access to information and networking in a digital environment.
“The platform serves as a practical guide through opportunities that exist across the region, from student exchanges and trainings to volunteering and first work experiences. We want young people to realize that the region offers more opportunities than it might seem at first glance,” Stanojević explained.
Through interactive presentations and discussions, participants learned more about youth mobility, the challenges and benefits of international programs, and how to find opportunities for professional development and employment in line with their interests and skills.
The event gathered around 20 participants, including Serb and Albanian students from the IBCM College in Mitrovica, as well as representatives of local NGOs from northern Kosovo. Organizers encouraged young people to visit the DigiPath platform and make the most of the opportunities it provides.
The roundtable is part of NGO Aktiv’s ongoing efforts to promote education, digital skills, and regional youth cooperation, as essential prerequisites for the social and economic inclusion of the new generation in the Western Balkans.
