University of York Students Visit NGO AKTIV

A group of 16 students from the MA in Post-war Recovery Studies at the University of York and their professors visited NGO AKTIV for the second time during their annual study trip to Kosovo. The purpose of the visit was for the students to gain insights into the various dimensions of the post-war recovery process in Kosovo from a Kosovo Serb perspective. The students were divided into four groups focusing on specific post-conflict issues, namely: reconciliation; displacement and reintegration; gender; and the role of civil society.

The presentation of AKTIV’s work and the explanations of the political and social context in Kosovo were given by AKTIV’s staff members: Program Director, Milica Andric; Head of the Human Rights Section, Marija Stankovic; and our intern, Alberto Sartori.
