Marking the International Anti-Corruption Day

NCSC is implementing Demand for Justice Program, a grant by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, to support the development of robust evidence-driven demand for justice in Kosovo.NGO Aktiv is one of the implemnting partners in collaboration with Community Building Mitrovica and Youth Initiative for Human Rights.

The International Anti-Corruption Day was also marked in Kosovo with a symbolic street action co-organized by NGO Aktiv and its partners. Corruption is a serious threat that undermines social and economic development in all societies, and this action conducted today aimed to raise the public awareness on taking action against this negative phenomenon in Kosovo. Following the street action, the Kosovo Bar Association in cooperation with the Demand for Justice Program (D4J) organized the Central Bench Bar for 2016.

Next to the president and members of Kosovo Bar Association, representatives of Kosovo Judicial Council, Kosovo Prosecutors Council, Kosovo police and International Bar Association participated.

Openining remarks were made by Mr. Greg Delavie, United Stated Ambassador to Kosovo and Mr. Jaan Braathu the OSCE Mission in Kosovo.
