A Week of Cultural Events was organized by NGO AKTIV and Kosovo Coalition for Reconciliation Kosovo from the 20th to the 25th of June.
Members of the public were able to attend concerts and painting exhibitions. The music group Moan the Guilty held a concert in Pristina on the 22nd of June at the Dit ‘e Nat’ Cafe, and in North Mitrovica on the 23rd of June in the Aquarius Gallery.
Two exhibitions of paintings by artist Veselj Saliji from Kamenica were set up in Gracanica on the 20th and 21st of June, and in Prizren on 24th and 25th og June.
Project manager at NGO Aktiv Igor Markovic stated that the goal of these cultural events is to point out the importance of promoting talented people in Kosovo.
“The idea is to provide space for young promising artists, who come from smaller places in Kosovo, to promote their work, to present themselves to the public and to offer citizens cultural events”, Markovic said.
The exhibition of paintings in Prizren was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Emilija Redžepi, who expressed support for the Kosovo Coalition for Reconciliation.
These activities are financially supported by the European Union.
