A survey by NGO Aktiv indicates worrying results about the state of domestic violence in North Kosovo



The main goal of the survey was to make an overview of the state of domestic violence in four municipalities in North Kosovo and provide concrete policy recommendation to ensure the long-term sustainability of the intervention led by NGO Aktiv.

The survey has been funded by the Embassy of Finland in Pristina and it is the first of its kind published in North  Kosovo. Speaking at the event, Ms. Anne Meskanen, Chargée d'Affaires, Embassy of Finland, highlighted that fostering gender agenda and raising awareness of domestic violence among local communities is a cornerstone of Finnish development policy. “Finland has for a long time been at the forefront of gender equality.
